Prices for 100, 300 and 500 attendees

At 100 attendees, WebinarJam Starter is $39 a month, billed annually. Zoom Webinars starts at 300 attendees, $66.67 a month, billed annually, below Webinars Plus 100 at $82.50; both need Zoom Workplace Pro. WebinarJam has no 300-attendee plan, so 300 attendees means Basic at $79. At 500, Basic is $79 and Zoom Webinars 500 is $83.33, also before Zoom Workplace Pro.

WebinarJam caps attendees per webinar at 100, 500, 2,000 or 5,000 by plan, and Zoom says the number who can join is based on the plan. For 1,000 or more, read webinar platform for 1,000 attendees.

WebinarJam shows a $1 trial for 14 days on its 500-attendee plan and a 30-day money-back guarantee. Zoom's pricing page shows neither.

Recorded and automated sessions

WebinarJam's hybrid mode plays prerecorded video during a live session while you still interact with attendees. For evergreen webinars that run on a fixed schedule, WebinarJam points to EverWebinar, included from Basic at no additional cost.

Zoom lists pre-recorded sessions, which it calls simulive, on Webinars Plus and Events but not on Webinars. Simulive means a pre-recorded presentation that plays at a scheduled time while attendees chat in real time.

Hosts, session length and the extra Zoom plan

WebinarJam sets hosts and session length by plan: Starter has 1 host and 1 hour, Basic 2 hosts and 2 hours, and the larger plans up to 6 hosts and 4 hours. Zoom lists events of up to 30 hours on Webinars, Webinars Plus and Events.

Every Zoom Webinars card requires Zoom Workplace Pro, a separate paid Zoom plan, and Zoom's support page says a webinar needs a Pro, Business, Enterprise or Education account with the Webinars add-on. That price is not in the Zoom figures above, so the full Zoom bill runs higher.

Where EasyWebinar fits between them

EasyWebinar Pro is $165 a month, billed annually, for 500 live attendees and 2,500 automated viewers, with simulive and evergreen webinars, built-in checkout (attendees buy inside the webinar room) and EasyCRM, its built-in CRM and email tool. At 500 attendees its figure is above WebinarJam Basic's $79 and Zoom Webinars 500's $83.33 before Zoom Workplace Pro, so pick it when checkout and follow-up in one account matter more than the lowest price.

A marketing consultant who expects 300 registrants for a launch webinar meets plan limits differently on each tool. Zoom says unpaid events can take unlimited registrations while the plan size caps who joins. EasyWebinar's pricing page says a session keeps running past the plan limit and bills each extra live attendee $0.78. EasyWebinar's trial is 7 days with a card, or $1 for 14 days of Pro, and its Terms call all fees non-refundable.
